MEMBERSHIP NEWS

Greetings Fellow MOA Officials,

          This is the first issue of what will hopefully be a regular feature on the MOA website. It will be called the MOA Monthly News Letter.

          This newsletter will give information on association activities and feature current information regarding the highlights and achievements of our members.

          The MOA General Meeting for the upcoming elections (October) will take place on Wednesday, August 5^th, 2009. The site and time will be announced later this week by e-mail. Please get involved with the election process and nominate the candidate that you feel will do the job.

          The football season is close at hand with the first meeting will take place on Monday, August 3^rd at Gately Stadium. This years meetings will incorporate Federation and NCAA rule interpretations. The Federation 2009 Part I football exam must be turned in to the IHSA by 8/24/09. The IACAO Football Clinic is a must for new and inexperienced officials. This clinic will take place on August 15^th. You can see more details at their website, IACAO.org.

          It is hard to believe another year has come and gone. Yes, you know what that means, MOA dues are due [$75.00]. Please submit your check to Richard Richardson ASAP. You can send your dues to the Metropolitan Officials Association, P.O. Box 496553, Chicago, IL. 60649.
